Buck Horton
Buck loves the Lord and has a passion for shooting mallard drakes. He likes to hunt small game, turkey and deer. Some of his favorite activities include working his Lab, Annie, and playing baseball and football. He also likes practicing on his duck call with plans to one day compete in calling contests. His competitive nature doesn’t end there. Buck also enjoys shooting pop-up targets and competing in 3-D archery tournaments.
Buck killed his first buck, a beautiful ten-pointer, just one week before his 5th birthday. Since then he has taken 10 deer. At the age of 7 he shot his first limit of mallard drakes. His favorite slogan is ‘SHOOT ‘EM!’
He has appeared in various television shows on Outdoor Channel, Versus and Sportsman Channel. Several magazine and Internet articles have featured Buck and he has been included in a DVD project for a national bow manufacturer.
Buck enjoys promoting hunting to other kids and likes traveling to different states to hunt and meet people. The Horton family is a faith-based, close-knit group. Dad, Terry and Mom, Tina, along with sisters Caitlin and Makenzi, share Buck’s enthusiasm for attending church and worship. His favorite Bible verse is proverbs 3:6, “In all you do acknowledge Him, He will make your paths straight.”
When he’s not in school you can find Buck in a tree waiting on a big buck or in the flooded timber on a crisp December morning calling to a group of greenheads.
